Anna is a member of the Bead Workers guild and has been beading for about 8 years. She attended Local Authority classes with Liz Thorton whom she descibes as an excellent tutor. She really enjoys using tiny beads and making colour mixes, especially blues. Her last project was a St. Petersburg chain necklace, made with Swarovski crystals and cream seed beads, for her niece's wedding. She also makes larger bead necklaces using glass beads from Ghana and does repairs and restringing. The money from this goes to support the fistula hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her next goal is learning how to perfect knotting techniques for pearls. |
